week5 term 4

New learning

This week in maths I have learnt how to add roman numbers.I have also completed my times table tasks and rounding numbers to 1000 tasks as well.In maths I am learning how to trade and borrow numbers.For inquiry I have been doing a grid that has tasks you have to do and one of the was to write a rap about dinosaurs. I have been working on that I also helped do another rap about nutri grain.For literacy I have been doing my reading comprehension.In that task I had to make a wanted poster for a magpie.

week 3 term 4

This week I have learnt a lot about the long term/ short term effects of drug. Like if you are a regular smoker I could affect your brain, like memory loss or even find it hard to solve problems. I have also learnt this week how to t ball the hni way. In PE I has learnt how to do high jump. In food tech we made these thing called yummyness that had cheese, onion, tomato sauce and pineapple.

This week I have learnt in maths what factors are. I have also learnt how to identify the keywords in a task so I can work out exactly what the purpose is. In 21as last tech section  we learnt what happens to ice when you add salt. In my speech about music i've learnt lots about how it helps your brain work. I have also learnt new line dances for social dancing. In our mandarin lesson last week we learnt how to count to ten in mandarin. We also learnt our family members  in mandarin. 

week 3 term 3

This week in science we have learnt allot about atomos. Last week in science we made rockets and launched them off. Mine went 18 meters long. I have also learnt what stereotype is. In PE we have been doing the cross country track. Last time my time was 18 minutes and 45 seconds.

All these collisions cause a build up of electrical charge.  Heavier, negatively charged particles sink to the bottom of the cloud. When the positive and negative charges grow large enough, a giant spark - lightning - occurs between the two charges within the cloud.

This week we learnt how to make pizza doe with Lilly and Sophie. We made the pizza doe in the canteen. same people were in paris or go unnervingly. i have learnt a new PE game called zombie apocalypse. It is very fun game to play. In my inquiry i have learnt who invented the first emoji and what it looked like. I have completed my 7 lessons on ordering fraction. On ordering fraction one of my lessons was to change improper fractions.

This week I have learnt on math buddy how to change improper fractions to mixed numbers. I have also learnt from maths buddy how to simplify fractions. My inquiry is on emojis. I have found a lot on information about emojis I did not know before. This week i have also earned more knowledge pointes on readtheory.

In writing i have made progress in my capital letters and paragraphs.

This week i have learnt in maths how to order unit fractions with different denominators. In maths i also learnt how to round whole numbers to the nearest 10, 100, 10000. In writing i have learnt how to group ideas into paragraphs. I have also learnt how to identify the keywords in a task so i can work out exactly what the purpose is. I am reading a chapter book called the whale rider.

New Learning

This week i have learnt in netball some new skills✌. One of the skills were passing the ball different angles ⚽. I've learnt that how to order unit fractions  with different denominators👏. On the literacy hub i am practicing how to select an appropriate text type for a specific purpose and audience👍. I've learnt how to identify the key words in a task so i can work out exactly what the purpose is👊.

New Learning

This week i have learnt in maths that division is just the opposite of multiplication. In P.E  room 21 learnt how to play a game called ki ora hi. I have learnt to sign a few other people's names. I also learnt how to make marshmallow slime.  

week 10

New learningThis week I have learnt how to read and write numbers up to 1,000,000. I have also learnt, in maths, that I can read and write decimals to 3 decimal places. I have learnt this week why chillies are hot. It is because there are these things on your tongue called polymooal nociceptor. I have learnt more NZSL. I learnt about instructional writing and that I will use this more than made up writing. At home I learnt how to change my baby brothers nappy.

week 9

This week i have am learning how to write in small paragraphs. I have been practising my writing so I can lean how to write in paragraphs.This week i have learnt how to add in 2- digit adding in vertical form.I week my inquiry question was are drugs good for you and what are drugs? I found the answer the my question and it was not all drugs are bad for you.

This week i have been  doing an inquiry question about why do people smoke? I know now what it does to your lunges if you smoke. This week i have also learnt how to the place values of decimals in maths. I have learnt that Sir Edmund Hillary did our school values when he was climbing mount everest.
